SuperSize Me
In Morgan Spurlock's Super Size Me, he binges on eating fatty foods at McDonalds for a month and shows us the extreme effects of the food industry on American society. This documentary does show a problem with the food industry. That is that Americans eat too much fast food and are developing health problems because of this. It doesn't really offer much solutions other than the obvious eat healthy and exercise a lot.He treats the obesity issue with some source of seriousness but with a humor-like tone. His method does compare to Michael Moore in that advertising does appeal to younger people like through the use of clowns, toys, kids meals, etc.

I do agree with this. SuperSize Me is really all about how America is one of the fattest nations on the planet, and that we are like this because we don't decide to eat healthy when we go out to dinner. Because we are always on the go, fast food seems like a better option than it really is. In the movie he does use the Micheal Moore method because it seemed like every other interview he would cut to something else to make it seem like they didn't answer or didn't have an answer that truly answered the question being asked. And with this method it seemed like he was connecting the words to persuade people to go more his way.
ReplyDeletein supersize me it shows us a vivid and descriptive picture of what the highly craved fast food of McDonald's can do to you when continuously eat it it. just because it is fast and convenient doesn't it mean it is necessarily good for you. but this is what us Americans eat to fill are belly when empty. from this comes are obesity problems in America.
