DEFORCE

In the video today we learn the after effects of the riots. we also learned why the riots happened in Detroit. we learned that the riots happened because the city of Detroit was not as racially as equally as the american people around the country. There was a lot of racial tension between abd many policy put in place like S.T.R.E.S.S  or red lining.

    the movie really got me thinking on ways the we see Detroit and the communities around us view Detroit. Like we could do new programs to make it a more touristy place so that we could get new people into the city. Make new things like jobs for ex-cons who get out and need a job so they could go back into the real world. Honestly if we as a community work together and make it a better place like fix the school system and other things then it will be a great place to live and stay. I used to live there in Detroit on the upper west side in a nice neighborhood and honestly if we have a good schools out there we probably would have stayed out there, so I think that we can make it a better place.
