1. What does race mean to you?
2. Do you think that Groves is a colorblind school?
Because I think that race is a defining thing for all of us. It helps us with our individuality and for us to be able to get along with others because we are all different, I mean if we were all the same then the world would not be a very diverse place. And the race is something that is just what is past down from your parents not that only certain people are inferior to others. I also think that Groves is not a colorblind school because some people only hang out with people of that color and only feel comfortable with those people and I feel like we can get there. If we take the issue of people interacting with others and then actually working together on things to make all of us feel welcome them I think that Groves will be colorblind.
To me, race is something we identify ourselves as or who we belong to ethnic wise. Race is something in society that unfortunately divides us in a negative way and that can lead to problems. It is seen throughout different communities and throughout different nations.
ReplyDeletei agree with both Edward Blue and Ashley Moore that race helps identify who we belong to ethnic wise but i also believe that it links us to are ancestors like African Americans originated from Africa. but the problem with race which is demonstrated in at Missouri University is that certain races or ethnic groups think they are superior to another which is terribly false.
